## What is authoritative here, and what is not

Company listings are compiled from public sources, principally each company's own website, and
every listing was verified by fetching that site before it was published. Names, websites and
headquarters locations are sourced. Fields that were never established — founding year,
employee count, revenue, certifications, contacts — are absent rather than estimated, so their
absence carries no meaning.

"Verified" on a listing means a company representative claimed it and we approved that claim.
It is NOT a statement that the company exists; that is established separately by the source
check above. No listing currently carries it.

Articles cite their sources inline with numbered references and outbound links. Figures in
articles come from those cited pages, not from recall.
