Atlas Elektronik
Designs and manufactures sonar systems, mine countermeasures equipment, underwater sensors, and naval command systems for defence customers.
ATLAS ELEKTRONIK provides maritime electronics and systems with a strong focus on sonar and sensor-to-shooter solutions for naval operations. Its portfolio covers the full spectrum from development to manufacturing, and from individual components to complete systems for both submarines and surface vessels, as well as uncrewed systems and multi-domain solutions. Its backbone consists of electronics, sensors, hydroacoustics, command and control systems, communications, and naval weapons, all aimed at operational superiority in naval environments. The business divides into three broad areas. Maritime Awareness covers sensor technologies for detecting, classifying and tracking underwater targets, with raw data processed into an operator-focused situational awareness picture to support decision-making in anti-submarine warfare and mine warfare. Networked Operations covers command and control, communications, autonomous operating systems for uncrewed vehicles, and tactical data links that connect submarine, surface vessel and mine warfare systems into a command center for real-time operations. Dynamic Forces covers offensive and defensive effectors, among them torpedoes, anti-torpedo torpedoes, mine disposal systems, and other crewed and uncrewed systems built for deterrence, engagement and survivability in contested maritime environments. The company runs a substantial services business as well, especially for submarines. It provides lifecycle support that includes spare parts, engineering guidance, surveys, midlife modernization programs, maintenance and repair, integrated logistics support, in-service support, consulting and engineering, logistics data management, and tailored supply chain support. It offers training solutions and land-based training facilities, including simulators, virtual training, and integrated training centers for crews, production staff, maintenance teams and instructors. The distinctive feature of the business comes from combining platform-independent systems, broad lifecycle support, and the integration of sensors, communications, command systems and weapons into a single maritime architecture for navies and other naval operators worldwide, so that one supplier can cover a vessel from its sensors and command systems through to its effectors and the training of the crew that runs them.
