DeepOcean provides subsea services across the full lifecycle of underwater infrastructure, from initial survey through engineering and installation to maintenance and eventual removal and recycling. Its four core service areas are survey; engineer, project manage and install; maintain; and recycle. The survey offering covers hydrographic survey and bathymetry work including seabed mapping, subsea pipeline inspection, photogrammetry, 3D visualisation, installation and IMR support, and geophysical and environmental surveys. Engineering and project management runs from small-scale work to multi-million-dollar projects delivered globally by its engineers and project managers. The maintain line provides integrated inspection, maintenance and repair of subsea infrastructure, while the recycle line handles studies and engineering through to the removal, dismantling and recycling of subsea structures. The company serves four markets. In renewables it delivers subsea services, solutions and technologies for offshore wind, floating solar power plants and other emerging ocean energy technologies. In oil and gas it supplies subsea infrastructure services and supports customers through the energy transition. In ocean minerals it combines its subsea and project execution expertise with Adepth Minerals to source and extract materials. A fourth ocean solutions category covers deep-water operations for other ocean-based industries. Technology is presented as the differentiator. DeepOcean emphasises diverless methods, using ROVs for bolted connections, subsea machining and installation of complex clamps, with an in-house engineering team developing custom tooling that can also integrate with third-party solutions. A Remote Operation Centre in Haugesund, Norway lets the company pilot ROVs aboard offshore vessels from onshore control rooms, which it links to greater flexibility, fewer people offshore, reduced HSE exposure and a lower carbon footprint. Digital twin and animation work reproduces vessels and ROVs with their exact positions and movements, so offshore operations can be followed and recorded digitally and used to plan standardised, repeatable smart inspections. Sensor data is extracted, processed and analysed and fed into an operational digital twin, with cloud-based data management giving customers real-time access, and customised artificial intelligence handling automated video processing and object detection. The asset base includes a modern fleet of IMR, construction and survey vessels, more than sixty ROVs specified to carry survey, inspection and construction support tooling and sensors, in-house subsea tool manufacturing and an extensive ready-to-use tool pool. Specialised marine trenching equipment supports burial and trenching of pipelines, flowlines, power cables and umbilicals. Vessel topside equipment includes a Cable Lay System, Vertical Lay System (VLS) and Module Handling System (MHS). Diverless tie-in tools include the Flange Tie-in tool (FTT), developed in partnership with Designbanken, and the Hydraulic Tensioning tool (HTT). Diving systems are installed on long-term chartered vessels and held ready for vessels of opportunity. The company operates an integrated HSEQ approach alongside ESG and sustainability commitments.
