Provides underwater technology solutions including connectivity, instrumentation, and systems integration.

//Overview

The MacArtney Group is a global supplier of underwater technology, headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark and operating through a worldwide network of offices and representatives that it continues to extend, most recently with a new office in Gothenburg. The group spans three divisions: underwater technology, MacArtney Hydraulics, which supplies hydraulic components for heavy industry working under demanding and tough conditions, and MacArtney Offshore Solutions, which develops, manufactures and delivers solutions for renewable energy, marine and offshore markets. The company aims to be a one-stop shop delivering customised and integrated underwater technology solutions so that customers can free up time and resources for their own core tasks, and it serves three industries: marine and offshore, ocean science, and naval. Its underwater technology offering is grouped into four areas. Connectivity covers its own connector, cable and termination brands, including the SubConn range of circular, micro circular, low profile, metal shell, power, data, coax, nano and penetrator series, the TrustLink power/signal, data, coax, hybrid and API series, OptoLink fibre optic connectors and penetrators, the GreenLink medium and high voltage inline terminations and hubs, and DOMUS subsea frames for seabed operations in naval, ocean science and marine and offshore settings. It also stocks coax, power, data, fibre and hybrid cables and accessories such as oil-filled junction boxes, stress terminations and FITA assemblies, and it represents GISMA, ODI and Moog Focal, adding dry mate and wet mate electrical, optical and hybrid connectors, penetrators, active flying leads, harnesses and distribution units, subsea high power systems, electrical slip rings, fibre optic rotary joints, condition monitoring, electrical and fibre optic swivels and fluid rotary unions. Data acquisition covers the telemetry that links the surface to the seabed, including the NEXUS 8 and the EMO Nano, EMO Mini-T and EMO Omni multiplexers, the FOCUS 2, FOCUS 3 and TRIAXUS remotely operated towed vehicles, and LUXUS cameras, lights and accessories; MacArtney also represents instruments from EdgeTech, Kongsberg Discovery, Teledyne Valeport and Sea-Bird Scientific covering side scan and combined sonar, sub-bottom profilers, multibeam echo sounders, CTD systems, tide gauges and sound velocity sensors. Workshop solutions include moulding and cable assembly, fibre optics, electronics and hydrostatic pressure testing, while support and training covers global after-sales service, ROTV service programmes, calibration and maintenance, and slip ring repair. Documented projects range from critical underwater infrastructure surveillance and launch and recovery systems for a naval rescue vessel to unexploded ordnance detection, field-ready water sampling, Arctic CTD winch systems, mine disposal connectivity, trencher telemetry and underwater fish observatories. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification and frames its ESG work around responsible production and consumption, carbon accounting and reduction, life below water, and social and corporate responsibility.
