Subsea Europe Services GmbH, also referred to as SES, is a marine technology company based in Rostock, Germany, whose business is to sell, rent and integrate equipment for offshore energy, ocean science and commercial marine projects under the strapline that it simplifies marine data acquisition. On the supply side it provides multibeam echosounders, inertial navigation systems, ADCPs and both commercial off-the-shelf and custom uncrewed surface and underwater vehicles, delivered either as standalone technology or as fully integrated hydroacoustic systems from leading manufacturers. Rental runs through a collaboration with RTS, giving customers rapid access to ready-to-deploy systems with expert support and logistics, and the company maintains its own rental pool. Its named service lines are sales and rental, system integration, installation and training, and repair and service, and its integration work brings together GNSS, motion reference units, multibeam sonar and secure communications on autonomous platforms and survey vessels. Customers are grouped into offshore energy, ocean science, and coastal, ports and harbours, with maritime security handled through FLANQ, its defence sister company and division, which supplies AI-powered uncrewed surface and underwater platforms for surveillance, reconnaissance and the protection of critical marine infrastructure. In offshore wind, oil and gas it supplies autonomous platforms, individual sensors and deployment kits for seabed data acquisition. For research users it rents or sells calibrated instruments and science payloads, CTDs, SVPs and multibeam systems for coastal to deep-ocean surveys, water column analysis, seabed classification and time-series acquisition. For port operators, contractors and coastal agencies it provides USVs, portable sonar systems and plug-and-play products for berth monitoring, dredging surveys and inspection in confined or shallow water. The company has moved from configuring other people's platforms to building its own. Its first in-house developed uncrewed surface vessel is the C-RECON 13-ES, a 4-metre all-electric carbon-fibre USV with a 200 kg payload capacity and zero-emission battery propulsion, built for hydrographic surveys, environmental monitoring and offshore asset inspection, and able to launch from small vessels, marinas or directly off the beach. Its modular construction allows shorter or longer hulls by adding or removing ready-made sections such as an extra battery pack or a UAV hanger. Payload integration and sensor management run through the proprietary C-KONTROL plug and sail hardware backbone, supported by the tool-free C-Lock quick-mount deck system, the universal C-Fit underwater payload interface and the C-Caster profiling winch. The company is also the appointed mainland Europe distributor for the Voxometer, a multi-aspect survey system built on MA3 Multi Aspect technology by Malta-based R3Vox, which it promotes for sale and rental to academic research, offshore survey and geophysical customers while FLANQ leads defence and government engagement. It represents further partners including RTSYS and Cellula Robotics, and has previously handled sales and rental of R2Sonic multibeam echosounders.
